6 tablespoons butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon flour or more to thicken
1 cup sour cream
Melt butter; add garlic, mushrooms, parsley flakes, salt and pepper. Sauté, stirring frequently until mushrooms are tender. Stir in flour and sour cream. Blend well and heat until mixture thickens. Serve warm with melba toast or plain crackers. Can be made ahead and heated slowly before serving.
